Slayer frontman Tom Araya has said that the band will begin work on a new album once guitarist Jeff Hanneman recovers from a flesh-eating disease. The guitarist contracted necrotising fasciitis following a spider bite during a South American tour earlier this year."There's no way we'd go into a studio without him," Araya tells Billboard. "We require his musical skills, his writing skills. He's an integral part of the band. So we're going to hold off until he's at 100 percent and can join that process and be part of it." The band will play Sonisphere in July. For tickets, click here.
