Slayer were forced to pull out of their appearance at the Sydney date of Australia's Soundwave festival yesterday (February 27) due to frontman Tom Araya being admitted to hospital.Araya was taken ill moments before the band were due to take to the stage at the city's Showgrounds venue. There has been no official word on his condition, or what illness he's suffering from, however Soundwave's promoter says he expects Araya to make a full recovery for the festival's next date in Melbourne on March 4.Tom Araya is not the only member of Slayer who's been in the wars lately, as previously reported, guitarist Jeff Hanneman is currently in hospital in the US receiving being treated for necrotising fasciitis, a rare flesh-eating disease he contracted from a spider bite.
