Bands could be in the chance of playing a slot at 2008's Glastonbury festival if they win a competition being stage by a charity honouring The Clash's late frontman Joe Stummer.

Joe Strummer: New Joe Strummer guitar to be launched

Fender have launched a guitar based on The Clash's Joe Strummer. The Joe Strummer Telecaster is modelled after the 66 Telecaster Strummer played throughout his career. He brought the guitar in 1975 for �120 and kept on adding stencils, stickers and new licks of paint giving it its unique look.
