Kerrang! is sad to report that former Thin Lizzy guitar legend Gary Moore has passed away. Moore was found dead in his hotel room in the Costa del Sol earlier today (Sunday February 6). He was 58 years old."I am in total shock. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just can't believe he is gone," said Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey. "I have known Gary since 1967 when he was in Platform Three and he's been an amazing friend ever since. It was a pleasure to play with Gary again in 2006 after his days with Lizzy."Our thoughts are with his family, friends and bandmates past and present at this sad time.
