Bullet For My Valentine, Alter Bridge, The Gaslight Anthem and Black Veil Brides are just some of 20 new bands to be confirmed for this year's Kerrang!-sponsored Download Festival, which is set to take place at Donington Park in Leicestershire between June 10-12. "Download is one of the best festivals on the planet!" Bullet For My Valentine drummer Michael 'Moose' Thomas tells Kerrang!. "This will be our fifth time playing there. Last year was amazing. It was an honour and a privilege to headline the Ronnie James Dio stage. Obviously, we're not going to be happy until we headline the main stage but that's a way off. Hopefully we'll get there one day!""I love intimate shows for what they are, but this is a whole different situation," says Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Six, whose band will make their UK festival debut at Download. "I really enjoy the idea of being able to bring our music to a large number of people at once. When you see pictures of bands like Skid Row and Mötley Crüe onstage in front of a sea of people, that's something you aspire to when you're a kid. It's very exciting!"Other new additions include: Alice Cooper, Buckcherry, Clutch, The Cult, The Damned Things, Danzig, Escape The Fate, FM, GWAR, Hollywood Undead, Korn, Masters of Reality, Mr. Big, Pendulum, Rise To Remain and Thin Lizzy.Tickets for Download 2011 are now on sale from www.aloud.com. Festival organisers Live Nation have confirmed that prices will remain the same for Download 2011 as they were last year. Weekend tickets cost £145, optional extras are priced as follows: camping tickets (three days) £25, camping tickets (five days) £35, family camping (three days) £25, family camping (five days) £35, car park passes £15 advance or £20 on the day, campervan £40 and lockers £11. Be sure to pick up this week's Kerrang! magazine for exclusive interviews with nearly all the bands on the bill!
