Ramones are set to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at next year's Grammys.The New York quartet, who disbanded in 1996, are regarded as one of the first ever punk bands after bursting onto the New York club scene in 1974. Over their 22-year career, the band recorded 14 albums and have influenced the likes of Green Day, Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.The band's three founding members - frontman Joey Ramone, guitarist Johnny Ramone and bassist Dee Dee Ramone - have passed away, but will be honoured at a special ceremony in Los Angeles on February 12.The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place a day later on February 13 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
