AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been convicted of drugs possession in New Zealand and ordered to pay $250 (£120) in fines and $133 (£65) in court costs.Rudd was arrested and charged with drug possession at Tauranga Beach Marina, North Island on October 7, after police found 25 grams of marijuana on board his boat.Despite pleading guilty at Tauranga District Court, the sticksman's pleas for leniency were rejected by Judge Robyn Paterson."Your arrest was not just an accident. You were blindly ignoring the law. You have been playing Russian roulette." Paterson told Rudd before sentencing him. This conviction could seriously effect AC/DC's future touring plans because many countries, including the US, will not allow persons convicted of drugs possession into their country.
