As reported exclusively in yesterday's Kerrang! magazine, Hitchin goth rockers My passion have become now expanded to become a five-piece.Drummer Jonathan Gaskin has stepped out from behind his kit to assume guitar, keyboard and vocal duties, while 21-year-old Jamie Nicholls has joined the band as the Hitchin dance-punks' new permanent drummer."Expanding the line-up was something we've always imagined happening at some point," vocalist Laurence René tells Kerrang!. "We've always wanted to use live synths, but it was just a case of finding the right time to do it. We've been touring non-stop with the first album [2009's Corporate Flesh Party], trying to make a name for ourselves and doing what we could with the means we had. The new album sounds massive and it's the perfect time to do this."Jamie is a great drummer and it'll give us more freedom when we're touring and writing in the future," he adds. "It's a big change for the band, but it's really exciting for us all!"Inside This Machine will be released in October. The band will kick off their headline tour on October 1. See the Gig Guide for details.
