Thursday have started work on their follow-up to 2009's Common Existence at Tarbox Road studios in New York with producer Dave Fridmann (Mogwai). "This record feels like a radical departure from our earlier records but in substance it feels like a return," says frontman Geoff Rickly. "The songs are more vulnerable than they've been in a long time [and] it's very atmospheric and mood oriented so far." The as-yet-untitled album will be released early next year.
