The members of Slipknot held a press conference last night in their home town of Des Moines, Iowa to pay tribute to bassist Paul Gray who passed away on Monday (May 24)."Paul Gray was the essence of the band Slipknot," said percussionist Shawn 'The Clown' Crahan. "Paul was there from the very very beginning and none of us would be on the path we're on right now in life or have the sorts of lives we have without him." "My life changed the moment I met Paul," said DJ Sid Wilson fighting back the tears. "I am going to miss him greatly.""I'd just like to say that I miss my brother so much it's very hard for me right now," added drummer Joey Jordison. "God bless you, I love you."Gray's pregnant wife, Brenna, was also at the press conference."He was an amazing person and I just want people to remember him for just that," she said. "His daughter will remember him for the way he was."You can watch footage of the press conference below.
