HIM, The Blackout, Coheed And Cambria and The Dillinger Escape Plan are just some of the latest bands to be confirmed for this year's Kerrang!-sponsored Download Festival, which is set to take place at Donington Park in Leicestershire between June 11 and 13. "What I love about playing Download is that it's one of those rare festivals that people come to play at and hang out to catch up with friends and make merry," says HIM frontman Ville Valo. "Last time we played Download it was unreal! I remember finishing a song and turning to the side of the stage to ask for more vocal in the monitor and standing there watching us was Tony fucking Iommi! Mr Black Sabbath himself checking us out! I'll never forget that.""We're super excited to be playing Download 2010!" adds The Blackout frontman Sean Smith. "This will be our third appearance at the festival. We're gonna try and find a way of playing Download every year, even if it's on the campsite!""We last played two years ago and we were stoked at how many people came to see us play," remembers The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman. "It was a pretty awesome experience. I've always wanted to see Rage Against The Machine, AC/DC and Aerosmith. There're a lot of good bands playing this year."Other new additions also added to this year's bill are Airbourne, Steel Panther, A Day To Remember and Hellyeah."We're so stoked to be playing one of the biggest festivals in the world," says Steel Panther frontman Michael Starr. "We've waited a long time to get to this level and we're going to fuckin' tear it up. Suck it, bitches!""This will be our third year playing Download," says A Day To Remember bassist Josh Woodard. "The past two years have been so much fun and we really can't wait to play again this year. There are a ton of amazing bands that we're excited to watch. It's gonna be a good time!"And it doesn't stop there! Other bands also set to appear include 36 Crazyfists, Unearth, Job For A Cowboy, Lawnmower Deth, Saxon, Cinderella, Y&T, Ratt, We Are The Fallen, Whitechapel, August Burns Red, Dommin, Taking Dawn and Rise To Remain. We can now announce that AC/DC will headline the main stage on June 11, while Bullet For My Valentine will close the second stage. The following evening, Rage Against The Machine will headline the main stage, with 30 Seconds To Mars closing the second stage, and June 13 sees classic rockers Aerosmith headline the main stage, while Stone Sour will top the second stage's bill.Weekend tickets are available from www.downloadfestival.co.uk for £145; while day tickets will set you back £75.
