Karen, Brian, and Nick (dis)appear in the clip as wispy, diaphanous ghosts, or angels, an ethereal effect director Barney Clay achieved by projecting images of the band on plumes of smoke. In its accompanying making-of featurette, Karen tells us she wanted something to fit the vibe of the song, which the band wrote during a snowstorm "so it's very wintry feeling."
