Here's the relaxed, daydreaming pop of "White Sky," a song that fuses Vampire Weekend's new focus on not focusing on guitar with Ezra's understanding of how best to channel Paul Simon. It's technically the third listen from Contra (the fourth if you're counting b-sides), but it's the actually the very first bit of post-Vampire Weekend material the band shared with us, back when their debut was just one day old. (Years later, totally in vogue.) Since then "White Sky"'s been on Fallon with a string section, and is today freely streaming at MySpace in its studio form. Christmas in December! Contra is out 1/12 via XL.
