Last night Built To Spill capped a sold-out four-show run in NYC -- two at Webster, followed by a more intimate pair at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg. I ventured out in the Noreaster for it, and, surprise, a Built To Spill show is a sorta perfect way to spend a wet and chilly night. Earlier in the day Martsch took his skull cap to the Ed Sullivan Theatre (because the Ed Sullivan Theatre is a cold Theatre) and treated television to a bit of his band's great new LP There Is No Enemy. They could have upped the mood with KILASy "Aisle 13" or the inviting "Hindsight," but true to the dreary day, instead they got existential with a downcast, spaced out, and very whammy-barred "Oh Yeah."
