The big non-news coming from TV On The Radio is that they are taking a break. For a year, which sounds like a pretty reasonable/standard downcycle between albums and extensive touring, but we are living in a TVOTR blog-world where everything the band does is TVOTR blog-worthy. Tunde did say it would allow them to work on other projects, which we're already seeing with Kyp on Rain Machine and Sitek on probably producing your favorite Hollywood starlet's debut album. It also leaves Adebimpe time to bump up his Videogum presence and do things like contribute vocals to Massive Attack tracks. The nearly seven-minute, brooding, suspended piano chordal and blippy "Pray For Rain" is Tunde's guest spot on the trip-hop progenitors' forthcoming, cameo-heavy Splitting The Atom EP (other slots go to Elbow's Guy Garvey and Martina Topley-Bird, and the following full-length promises Damon Albarn among others).
