In support of the forthcoming Scars Basement Jaxx head out on a self-proclaimed North American "whistlestop DJ tour" this fall. It starts in San Francisco on 10/30. They're in L.A. for Halloween. Then onward. It's the UK duo's first North American trek since October 2006, but don't expect a pitch-perfect rendition of "Feelings Gone":For these particular North American dates, the duo are getting back to the basics -- their DJ decks -- and promise to spin these crowds into an outright frenzy. Their vaunted DJ sets are known best for their devil-may-care kitchen sink approach, and routinely pitch such varying artists as Mr Oizo and Whitney Houston against Nas, Eminem, Prince and Fingers Inc, whilst incorporating their extensive catalogue of Basement Jaxx hits, including "Red Alert," "Romeo," and "Where's Your Head At." Speaking of which, we have footage of a recent full-on show at the Jisan Valley Festival in Seoul: Take a look at a live "Where's Your Head At" and Raindrops" while you peruse the dates.Continue reading Basement Jaxx Set American Dates...

Basement Jaxx remixed their own, brand new “Dracula” single for this A7 Sportback commercial. The smoky mirror-image animation for this 60-second commercial makes it as watchable as a car commercial probably can be (and more watchable than Vampire Weekend’s Honda ad). See below:Here’s the original:
