Fiona Apple seems like the sort who has issues with excess life drama. Also, she makes a living on it. So covering a legendary jazz and Broadway composer for a tribute EP is probably a perfect way to slowly reemerge and work on the EM followup I'm dying to hear. Especially when the song is called "Why Try To Change Me Now?"Continue reading New Fiona Apple - "Why Try To Change Me Now?" (Cy Coleman Cover)...

Pro tip: If you go see the singer-songwriter Blake Mills live, there’s a good chance you’ll see Fiona Apple, too. Apple has kept a relatively low profile for the past year or so, but she’s toured with Mills before, and she appears on his new album Heigh Ho. And now she’s showing up all over [...]

Blake Mills is a frequent tourmate and collaborator with Fiona Apple, and Apple shows up on his new single along with another creative partner of hers, Jon Brion. The tune, from Mills’ upcoming Heigh Ho, is called “Don’t Tell Our Friends About Me,” and it’s an exceptionally pretty and expertly pr...

As previously reported, Fiona Apple plays a villain named BioFrau on H-Man a knowingly goofy French superhero TV show created by Joseph Cahill, who directed Apple’s great “Every Single Night” video. Apple’s episode recently aired, and it has her speaking French ably, shooting security guards, and creating ...
