A few weeks ago rumors swirled about some Very Special Secret Guests slated to appear at last night's Shuffle Mode special at BAM. So you know, see above photo. The night's lineup was already expansively staffed, with Clogs (which features the National's Bryce Dessner) and Bell Orchestre (helmed by Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry and Sarah Neufeld) joining the Brooklyn Philharmonic for a night of alternating performances and, ultimately, collaborative support. When Sufjan, Shara Worden, and Aaron Dessner appeared for Clogs' lullaby "We Were Here" during the show's second set the crowd reportedly went "apeshit" (obvs). Unless and until that rumored Radio City Dark Was The Night show happens, this was probably as much of the indie rock all-star softball team as we'll see on one stage for awhile.
