As we previously reported, the feisty foodie is returning to Austin this year for her second awkwardly titled (and conceptualized) SXSW showcase: Rose's Mojito and Rachael Ray's Feedback: The B-Side. It takes place 3/21 at Maggie Mae's with the Hold Steady, the New York Dolls (!), Bob Schneider, the Airborne Toxic Event, Ra Ra Riot, Semi Precious Weapons, the Cringe, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, the Thermals and John Pringle(s). We're told "the day will feature tons of Austin inspired recipes created by Rachael herself [and] signature Mojito cocktails thanks to the title sponsor." The slogan: "A Smorgasbord Of Hot Bands And Hot Foods." This clearly does not apply to all the bands, but nobody likes lukewarm food. You can get more info at www.rachaelray.com. Hopefully Franz doesn't get any bean dip on his mustache. Or his soul.

"'Can You Tell' represent[s] the breezier, brighter side of the band, taking perky melodies and swelling them with luscious string arrangements." The video for the track, directed by Taryn Gould and Emily Kowalczyk, has been floating around online for a minute, but we...
-- As Bloodshy & Avant, the Swedish producers Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg provided the deliriously great synthetic whizzing noises for jams like Britney Spears's "Toxic" and "Piece of Me", as well as hits for Kylie Minogue and Rachel Stevens. And now they've pulled an N.E.R.D., hooking up with musician Andrew Wyatt (...
The last time we saw "Can You Tell," Ra Ra Riot were showing David Letterman his first cello. For the The Rhumb Line track's official video, the Syracuse-based Barsukers show up outside someone's door breathing steam, showing themselves one-by-one through the peephole with flowers (and drum sticks) and lines like "my bed's too big for just me," ...
I'll admit it, when I saw Death Cab on The Late Late Show about a month back, I felt a twinge of cognitive dissonance. I knew the song ("Cath...") and I knew that was Ben Gibbard's voice coming through the TV, but the guy singing totally didn't look or act like Ben Gibbard. He was svelte with long hair, and he was kinda attacking his guitar. Thr...
