Given our state of economic chaos and the subsequent collapse of consumer confidence in everything but gold bullion and good times, music festivals are learning they need to go big or go home. Sasquatch! just went pretty big. This year's party, poised as always to be the best way to spend your Memorial Day weekend, will fill the picturesque Gorge in Quincy, WA with that NIN/Jane's package we mentioned earlier, alongside Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Erykah Badu, the Decemberists, TVOTR, PB&J, M. Ward, Grizzly Bear, M83, the Walkmen, the Gaslight Anthem, Blitzen Trapper, Sun Kil Moon, Black Moth Super Rainbow and Tobacco, etc., and the comedic stylings of Zach Galifianakis, Tim & Eric, Todd Barry, and Demetri Martin. And then later the comedy tent becomes a dance tent, a transfer for which you want Tim & Eric (or at least the Beaver Boys) onstage. But really, Quincy just looks like a pretty place to party. The fest runs from May 23-25 at the Gorge in Quincy, WA.
