Photo by Arjun S RaviUnsurprisingly, the real story of what happened to the Black Lips in India is way less fun than previously thought. There were no high-speed chases, no gunfights, no arrests. And there wasn't even full-frontal nudity! Just mooning. Boo.Vice has just posted an interview with drummer Joe Bradley , in which he explains the whole thing. Despite having previously claimed that they "had to flee the country of India due to having our whole tour canceled and having to escape being held by police for indecent exposure," it looks like the Black Lips were just being careful, and trying to get away from a shady promoter, when they beat the hell out of the country. (A wise move, perhaps.) Nobody seems to have pressed charges, and the police weren't even involved. But their tour manager sure sounds like an asshole. The Black Lips are currently in Germany, hanging out with King Khan.Read the whole story here.
