Last week, Röyksopp told us that they had a new album on the way. They gave us a tracklist and said that it would have collabos with Robyn and Lykke Li and Karin Dreijer Andersson of the Knife/Fever Ray.But they did not tell us about asteroids and eyeball flowers and (I'm guessing) puddles of liquid-metal Terminator. Drowned in Sound just revealed the cover of Junior, and it has all those things on it, alongside a disembodied hand holding a telephone and the Norwegian duo themselves looking unimpressed by all the WTF-ness around them.Astralwerks will release Junior in the US on March 24, so you've got a couple of months to figure what the hell is going on there. First single "Happy Up Here" offers no indication.

Robyn’s Bodytalk PT 1 will be here in June, and the bits that have leaked so far (“Fembot,” “Dance Hall Queen,”) have only make us more eager to hear the rest. “None Of Dem” is the collaboration with Röyksopp that we heard a snippet from. It’s a simmering track full...

Royksopp are bringing their much buzzed about live show to the US for four exclusive dates.
It's not surprising to hear that shadowy, electro-inclined outfit Salem chose the Fever Ray track from Röyksopp's Junior LP for their remixing purposes; the Michigan/Chicago/New York trio bury their tunes in dark murk while there's something pristine and laser-like about Fever Ray's sharpest moments, but they share with Karin a fascination for ...
Röyksopp's futuristic "The Girl & The Robot" video starred a lonesome stay-at-home Robyn longing for her electro-mechanical man. "This Must Be It" includes the voice of Karin Dreijer Andersson, but instead of Fever Ray, the Filip and Andreas Nilsson-directed video for the Junior standout focuses on folks in loincloths and Runar (who?), a mo...
