Last week, Röyksopp told us that they had a new album on the way. They gave us a tracklist and said that it would have collabos with Robyn and Lykke Li and Karin Dreijer Andersson of the Knife/Fever Ray.But they did not tell us about asteroids and eyeball flowers and (I'm guessing) puddles of liquid-metal Terminator. Drowned in Sound just revealed the cover of Junior, and it has all those things on it, alongside a disembodied hand holding a telephone and the Norwegian duo themselves looking unimpressed by all the WTF-ness around them.Astralwerks will release Junior in the US on March 24, so you've got a couple of months to figure what the hell is going on there. First single "Happy Up Here" offers no indication.

The most recent release in the artist-curated comp series Late Night Tales comes from Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, who precede their set of crate-dug tracks with one of their own: the mellow and downtempo “Daddy’s Groove.” It is electronic music as warm glass of milk, a pillowy and comforting thing that...
