Photo by Kathryn YuI know, Radiohead in adding a few dates shocka, right? Or is it Pitchfork in reporting on Radiohead adding a few dates shocka? Either way, uh, Radiohead have added some dates since the last time we ran 'em down, so here we are to run 'em down anew. The latest calendar additions include a pair of dates in Brazil, and a second date in Santiago, Chile. In all that makes for six confirmed Radiohead 2009 dates, all in March, with a proposed date in Argentina still pending. The suspense! And while we Americans were wallowing in Black Friday spendthriftery, our favorite UK five-piece took a moment to post their "office chart", which, they explain, is comprised of "what we might be listening to in the office...you know, at work." Huh, okay guys. Significantly less ambiguous is the quality of the music on said chart, which includes jams from Dizzee Rascal, the Bug, and Modeselektor, a Thom Yorke remix (omg conflict of interest!), a shit hot Dabrye remix of Bug offshoot King Midas Sound, and the most excellent John Adams. Scope the whole thing right here.Speaking of music that is good, producer Nigel Godrich has assembled quite a lineup for the second season of his "From the Basement" television program, due to premiere December 3 on the Sky network in the UK and in January on IFC in the States. Radiohead will appear on the December 24 (UK) episode, alongside Andrew Bird and Fleet Foxes. Other scheduled acts of note include Iggy Pop, My Morning Jacket, the Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, the Fall, Band of Horses, CSS, Sparks, Mercury Rev, and the Kills. Head here to check out performance clips from a few of these fine folks.read more
