The instrumentation on Of Montreal's Skeletal Lamping is so schizophrenically diverse that it's often difficult to tell exactly where a remix differs from the original track-- especially in the reverential hands of someone like Jon Brion, who pretty much added 8-bit flourishes to "Gallery Piece" and left the rest of the track alone. French electro-poppers Minitel Rose, on the other hand, remove the song's funky guitars and elastic bassline and replace them with icy blasts of Italo disco synth and overdriven bass squelches à la Justice-- leaving little but Barnes' stream of consciousness lyrics and falsetto exhortation to "clap, clap your hands."
