Opeth frontman Mikael Akerfeldt suffered a serious head injury this week which sparked rumors across the web

Earlier today we reported that Opeth frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt had apparently been hospitalised, and we now have an official statement from the band to tell us exactly what's happened.
