Photo by Kathryn YuPacking far too much crazy to simply relegate to a single continent or a mere leg, Of Montreal's batty Skeletal Lamping tour will return to Europe early next year for a few weeks' worth of copious chord and costume changes.Kev and company first have several more dates to attend to over here in the States, including the recent addition of a New Year's Eve gig in their native Athens, Georgia, and a stop by the "Late Show With David Letterman" come December 18. It would seem there's some Down Under action getting worked out as well a little further into 2009, although we'll assume that all depends on how big a suitcase they can secure for the jaunt.More Of Montreal music is coming our way too, as Polyvinyl will soon issue the fruits of Jon Brion's previously mentioned Of Montreal remixing labors. Jon Brion Remix EP collects the man's takes on Lamping tracks "An Eluardian Instance" and "Gallery Piece" along with a few odds and ends, and emerges January 6 digitally and January 27 on CD and LP.And don't forget that the band's fancy new picture disc single for their cover of Parvati Khan-via-M.I.A. jam "Jimmy" is due November 25 from HEARTFAST.read more
