Photo by Francis ChungWhen we ran down Cut Copy's recently expanded tour schedule a few days back, we noted that when all was said and done, the Australians would return to the studio to craft their follow-up to this year's smash In Ghost Colours. But as it turns out, new Cut Copy jams aren't quite so "Far Away" after all. On November 24, Modular will issue the UK-only digital single for In Ghost Colours' "Far Away" that ends with new track "Sands of Time". In addition, there's remixes of "Far Away" from Hercules and Love Affair (which appeared over in Forkcast earlier), Damn Arms, and Golden Filter. There's also a pop mix of "Hearts on Fire" (apparently the song wasn't poppy enough?) from Belgium's Aeroplane, and Knightlife's "Sun-Soaked Reprise" of "So Haunted".Cut Copy hit Lisbon tonight, with dates aplenty near and far through the next several months.read more

Based on their early aesthetics alone, Passion Pit arrived at exactly the right time. 2008 was a moment when rainbow-hued, fizzy, synthy indie rock reigned supreme, and nobody did it quite like Michael Angelakos and Co. Any of the other sugar rush greatest hits from that year -- Cut Copy's In Ghost Colours, M83's Saturdays…
