BTW and movie stars No Age + Free = Happy Halloween. Starting today (as in, now) you can get yourself tickets to see a free No Age show, with Titus Andronicus, in NYC on 11/9. And there will be three more around the country, in conjunction with the launch of shockhound.com, a new music site. This might make me us socialists, but we like free. We believe in spreading the shows around and free music for The People in a non-CMJ environment, so we've signed on to be a media partner for the series, which basically means we'll have some free tickets to give away closer to the event (because this first lot won't last long). Here's the show and ticket info:

They've uploaded the sheet music, tabs, and all the stems from the song to Indaba, and now you can play around with the song however you want, removing...

No Age: Partner With Skateboard Apparel Company
submitted by Nick Feb 9th 2009 01:00 pm (www.pitchforkmedia.com)
It may seem like No Age's Dean Spunt and Randy Randall spend all of their time in sweaty basements and lofts banging out their dream-punk jams, but the pair also share an extra-musical passion: skateboarding. And these dudes aren't kidding around-- they have a half-pipe in their backyard. And they've even been skating with Ryan Adams in Australi...

The insanely ambitious Canadian hardcore warriors in Fucked Up are on a very serious roll these days. First, they cranked out The Chemistry of Common Life, one of last year's most viscerally satisfying slabs of posi-rage. Then they played a ridiculous 12-hour show in downtown Manhattan. Indirectly, they inspired this Rob Harvilla article, one ...

Imagine you have a friend who writes a blog all about cream puffs. People call him/her Puffy at the bar and then you have to explain to the uninitiated how the nickname isn't based on Sean Combs. And then that friend has a terrible day when none of his/her cream puffs come out right-- they're not fluffy enough, they're burnt, and so on. And this...
