"Send return out of time/ Tape machine needs to be aligned." You (nearly) said it, Steve. "Due to delays at the vinyl press," the Matablog informs us, Matador's deluxe expanded reissue of Pavement's 1997 jammer Brighten the Corners has been pushed back from November 18 to December 9. That vinyl press will be responsible for making up all those copies of Pavement's Live, the captured-in-concert affair that comes with every preorder of the big set. Bummer, though the Matablog does make a good point: you've now got two extra weeks to hop on the Buy Early Get Now deal for the disc, which gets you some bonus cuts and a full album stream already. The strange saga of Pavement’s Terror Twilight-era B-side “Harness Your Hopes” has taken another turn. Back in 1999, when it first appeared on Pavement’s Spit On A Stranger EP, the song was not a noteworthy part of the band’s catalog, but two decades years later, it somehow got caught up in Spoti...
The new single from reunited pop-punk favorites Midtown‘s covers EP We’re Too Old To Write New Songs So Here’s Some Old Songs We Didn’t Write is a remake of Pavement’s Crooked Rain classic “Cut Your Hair.” If slacker-indie legends Pavement are not the first band you expect to ...
