Yeah Yeahs Yeahs singer Karen O has revealed that the tears she shed in the band's infamous video for their 2003 single 'Maps' were real. The star told NME that she was upset because her then boyfriend, Angus Andrew of Liars, was meant to turn up for the shoot, but was late.

At least two excellent alt-rock singles came out in 2003: “Mr. Brightside” and “Maps.” The Killers paid homage to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs last night by covering the latter song during their headlining set at Governors Ball in New York.
