When the Walkmen released their fine fourth album You & Me, musically able employees at the Nashville record store Grimey's New and Preloved Music decided to celebrate by performing Walkmen songs at an in-store. (Three of Grimey's employees are in an actual non-Walkmen cover band, the Privates.) The Walkmen caught wind of the event and, all these weeks later, invited the Privates to open for them at Nashville's the Basement this past Monday (10/13). Taking it a step further, the Privates backed up Hamilton Leithauser on his encore performance of Bows and Arrows track, "Thinking of a Dream I Had." Pretend you were there:
