Well, it's safe to say we haven't been waiting a decade-plus for the artwork to come together. But hit up the website of Best Buy-- the store, as you may recall, which landed the exclusive rights to the Interscope release of Guns N' Roses' increasingly-less-punchliney Chinese Democracy-- and you'll get a look at what may very well be the album's cover. Well, one version of it, anyway; there's a mention on the site of alternative art, though that hasn't been posted as yet. As for that cover? Uh, it's a sepia-tone image of a bicycle, with a big basket on it. Which reminds me of that old saying: "Nothing says Chinese Democracy like a sepia-tone image of a bicycle, with a big basket on it." God, all of these are better. The Best Buy site also includes the record's tracklist, which we've reprinted for your convenience below, and indicates that Chinese Democracy will be available on vinyl as well.Incidentally, the Best Buy page also notes that the album drops on Tuesday, November 25, and not on the previously suggested, less conventional release date of Sunday the 23rd. Whichever it is, at least it's, you know, sometime. GN'R's classic debut Appetite for Destruction, meanwhile, hits vinyl October 28 from Interscope.read more
