See, it just goes to show, liberals are lying flip-floppers. Oh wait, is this not 2004 anymore? In any event, No Age's politically contentious performance on "Late Late Night With Craig Ferguson" obviously didn't run on Oct. 27 as we were told, because you're reading about it right now. So, guitarist Randy Randall may have been wrong about that, but he's definitely wearing a t-shirt promoting "Free Health Care," just like he said, after network suits forced him to obscure an image of Obama. Ferguson talks for a couple minutes first, then there's Nouns' "Eraser", still a gorgeous burst of noise-pop-- whatever your politics. (via Stereogum)[from Nouns; out now on Sub Pop]

No Age: Stream No Age's Losing Feeling
submitted by Nick Aug 5th 2009 07:01 pm (stereogum.com)
Since selling a ton of band t-shirts (and releasing a pretty great album) last year, Dean and Randy have remained busy remixing Bloc Party, staying out of one-way flame wars, playing dressup, going on the No Deachunter "round robin" tour Dan Deacon and Deerhunter ... and as we learn today, working on a new release set for this fall. Like Nouns, ...

Mika: New Mika Miko Video - "I Got A Lot (New New New)"
submitted by Nick Jun 3rd 2009 06:01 pm (stereogum.com)
Mike Miko are a fun live band, so they wisely made a fun live video for We Be Xuxa's "I Got A Lot (New New New)." Speaking of which: Much of the current DIY or lo-fi or "shitgaze" (or whatever) crop is peddling something downcast ("thoughtful") a la Blank Dogs and Dum Dum Girls and the cross-breeding Mayfair Set, Crystal Stilts, Vivian Girls, an...
