Whatever people say they are, that is what they're not. Unless people say the Arctic Monkeys are working with Queens Of The Stone Age man and internationally renowned lover of gays, Josh Homme. Because that is something they definitely are. The BBC writes (via goldenfiddle):The singer revealed the collaboration at the London premiere of the Brit-award winners' new live DVD.He said: "We've been recording the new album with Josh Homme. It's been going really well but it's still early stages at this point."Homme recently revealed he had entered a studio in America with the band to produce some songs. Promising. Favourite Worst Nightmare was worthy, and The Last Shadow Puppets has showcased another dimension worth plumbing in Alex's writing. Let's see how Vulgaris-era Homme factors in. The DVD mentioned in the BBC quote is a 76-minute 2007 concert film, shot at the Apollo in Manchester, England by Richard Ayoade (he of the Last Shadown Puppets and the Vampire Weekends and the Mighty Booshes). They were good live in 2007. But if you need live Monkeys cuts from deeper in the vault, download an MP3 of the band doing "The View From The Afternoon" at Stubb's in Austin all the way back in 2006, right here.
