As the release date of Deerhoof's tenth album approached, the band flooded us with Offend Maggie material. A week and change ago we talked about the fully realized post-sheet music "Fresh Born." Before that Satomi and Greg harmonized about phone calls and unrequited love on "Offend Maggie" and even earlier, the group showed us "The Tears And Music Of Love." Hopefully you still have some room on your plate, because Offend Maggie is out today and, accordingly, here's the Clyde Petersen and Forrest Baum-directed video for "Chandelier Searchlight."

Last we saw Deerhoof, they were running around Japan in their video for “We Do Parties.” They’re absent from this clip, the dark visuals for their current album’s title(-ish) track “Breakup Songs.” Instead, a plague doctor visits a town that is afflicted with something that causes an ar...

Deerhoof go a guerrilla promo adventure in their video for “We Do Parties.” Their romp around Japan proves my suspicion that Deerhoof are not just awesome shredders but also probably fun to hang out with. You guys are welcome to play my birthday party any time. Check out the clip below. Deerhoof’s Breakup Song is [...]

Earlier this year of Montreal shared a split-side with Deerhoof, a release that yielded the band’s “Feminine Effects.” It’s a song that has an alternate version where singer Rebecca Cash takes lead, and today of Montreal dropped an official video to accompany that take. Watch their mystic interpretation be...
