As the release date of Deerhoof's tenth album approached, the band flooded us with Offend Maggie material. A week and change ago we talked about the fully realized post-sheet music "Fresh Born." Before that Satomi and Greg harmonized about phone calls and unrequited love on "Offend Maggie" and even earlier, the group showed us "The Tears And Music Of Love." Hopefully you still have some room on your plate, because Offend Maggie is out today and, accordingly, here's the Clyde Petersen and Forrest Baum-directed video for "Chandelier Searchlight."

In their 29 years as a band, Deerhoof have somehow never made an album entirely in a recording studio until now. Miracle-Level, the iconic Bay Area band’s 19th full-length, is billed as their studio debut. It’s also the first Deerhoof album sung entirely in Satomi Matsuzaki’s native Japanese.
