Chrissie and the Pretenders got a warm intro from Mr. Letterman last night, moments before the band performed the rockabilly and ramshackle "Boots Of Chinese Plastic" from their just released (today!) ninth album Breaking Up The Concrete. Ex-Son Volt man Eric Heywood provides the pedal steel licks, Pernice Brother James Whalbourne provides even more licks, and Ms. Hynde provides the kiss to David's cheek.
