Burial may have made the leap to XL with this year’s “Dreamfear” b/w “Boy Sent Above” single, but it seems he’s still keeping one foot in Hyperdub world. Last summer he released a split with Kode9, aka Hyperdub founder Steve Goodman, and today the two producers have another joint release out in the world.

In a couple of weeks, the mercurial UK vibe-conjurer Burial will release his new compilation Tunes 2011-2019, a collection of many of the loose tracks that he's released over the past decade. And just in time for that, he's released another loose track, one that won't appear on the album.

Burial, the mysterious and beloved UK producer, has not released an album in 12 years. Untrue, the last Burial album, is so old that people were using the word "dubstep" to describe it. Nobody even worried about having to explain that "dubstep" didn't necessarily mean Skrillex bass-drops. That was an eternity ago. But now, Burial…

Mercurial UK electronic producers Burial (William Bevan) and the Bug (Kevin Martin) teamed up last year for a two-song EP under the name Flame 1. It seems their creative fire has been sparked again because today they're back with another two-track collection, this time with the band name Flame 2.

As far as producers and beatmakers go, Burial is about as elusive as they come. Also known as William Emmanuel Bevan, Burial's last album, Untrue, was released over a decade ago, and until recently he hadn't shared any new solo music since "Pre Dawn" and "Indoors" two years ago. There have been a few collaborative

We don't get new Burial music very often. The reclusive UK beat-music conjurer's most recent album, sophomore effort Untrue, is more than a decade old now. And it's been nearly two years since Burial released "Pre Dawn" and "Indoors," his last two solo tracks. Since then, he's teamed up with the Bug for two collaborative…
