Reuters - "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino said she intended to take her own life when she overdosed on aspirin and sleeping pills two weeks ago, according to a TV interview released on Monday.

Fantasia was hospitalized last week after a reported suicide attempt but she is now ready to get back to work.
