There are a lot of bands today doing some take on ’80s darkwave, but none are in the class of Wes Eisold’s Cold Cave, in my opinion. The band’s new release, the Oceans With No End EP, is scheduled for release “soon” via Deathwish, but today, we’ve got its title track, a claustrophobic s...

Cold Cave: Divine Fits, Cold Cave @ Fonda Theater, Hollywood 11/4/12
submitted by Nick Nov 5th 2012 11:00 pm (stereogum.com)
Divine Fits wrapped up their headlining tour in Hollywood at the Fonda Theater with a scintillating set that featured the chirping synthesizers of “The Salton Sea,” the knife-sharp guitars of “Like Ice Cream,” and the conflicted angst of “For Your Heart.” Divine Fits will be back on the...

Scottish noise legends The Jesus And Mary Chain wrapped up their short tour of California last night will a beautifully noisy set at the House Of Blues San Diego. Jim Reid’s voice hasn’t aged and William Reid still can dial up storms of fuzz. It was also a bonus to see Phil King formerly of [...]

Cold Cave: White Ring, Burning Star Core @ Europa, Brooklyn 6/14/12 (Northside Festival)
submitted by Nick Jun 15th 2012 07:00 pm (stereogum.com)
Last night the Northside Festival kicked off in north Williamsburg. Last night’s most appetizing bills were at Europa, or at Glasslands (which had BTW Beacon and Sweden’s Niki & The Dove), or Music Hall Of Williamsburg (which had GZA do Liquid Swords), though things really kick into full swing today, with a big show ...
