Gossip blogger Perez Hilton has pointed out yet another series of uncanny similarities between one of Avril Lavignes new tunes and another artists track. It seems Canadian electroclasher Peaches may have a case, too. The first 20 seconds of Avrils I Dont Have to Try sound nearly identical to Peaches Im the Kinda.

NEW YORK - Avril Lavigne has denied a claim by a member of a 1970s rock band that her hit "Girlfriend" rips off one of his tunes. Songwriters Tommy Dunbar and James Gangwer allege in a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco that Lavigne and her co-writers lifted their 1979 song, "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.".

Avril Lavigne is being sued by 70s band The Rubinoos over allegations that her hit single Girlfriend bears too close of a resemblance to their 1979 track I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.
