As per usual, Deerhoof have been on an absolute tear these past couple years. Last year, they put out a new album called Future Teenage Cave Artists and the mangled covers album Love-Lore, in which they covered 43 songs in 35 minutes. Today, the band is announcing their 18th studio album, Actually, You Can — it’s out in October.

submitted by Nick Apr 28th 2009 11:00 pm (stereogum.com)
You'll need five listens of this new Busdriver track to get a beat on the dextrous, rapidfire tongue twirling at hand, which is to say it is a Busdriver track. The forthcoming Jhelli Beam is his eighth album and has a solid list of collaborators, including old partners (producers Daedelus and Nobody, Islander Nick Thorburn), Deerhoof dudes (John...

Deerhoof: Cornelius, Deerhoof Tour, Freak People Out Together
submitted by Nick Feb 10th 2009 11:01 pm (www.pitchforkmedia.com)
I'm just going to go ahead and say it: Cornelius is pretty cool, but he's even cooler for filling his MySpace Top 40 with cats. I can absolutely imagine him and his cat friends chilling at the bar, drinking milk, making meow-based beats. Pretty cool. The Japanese master of sound released Sensurround-- a DVD chronicling his Sensuous Synchronized S...
