Coldplay released their ambitious, genre-jumping double album Everyday Life in late 2019, just months before the pandemic. I thought it was great, but given its lack of cultural impact, I’m not sure anyone else noticed — that is, anyone besides the Grammys, who gave the album a surprise Album Of The Year nomination and then went back to ignoring it like everyone else. Now the band seems to be teasing its next release.
