Evanescence singer Amy Lee has shot down rumors that she will be collaborating with Metallica on a song for the legendary heavy metal band's forthcoming album

John and Rocky were in Evanescence for four years and we shared some great times together playing live, but they were ready to move on and so we have parted ways.

Evanescence evidently couldn't get enough of the road following this summer's outing on the Family Values tour. The band will hit the road again next month for a tour that will cover the United States and Mexico. This time playing a full headlining set at each stop on what has been dubbed the "The Open Door" tour.

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Evanescence leader Amy Lee says that recent lineup changes have made things "more fun" and "a lot healthier" for the band -- which bodes well for its jaunt on the upcoming Family Values Tour with headliner Korn.
