Punk icon Patti Smith injured her arm after falling over onstage during a concert at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on Saturday (21Oct07).

A free series of official Bob Dylan podcasts presented by Patti Smith have been made available online.

Patti Smith is working on an album of original material to follow up the April release of her covers album, Twelve. Though Smith will focus on live shows for most of the rest of the year - including a September 13 tribute for her late husband, MC5's Fred Smith - she says, "I've been working on a lot of songs, so I'd like to record again."

Patti Smith is set to play a free show in Los Angeles on August 16.
