Deerhunter announced a new album called Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared? at the end of October. Recorded in Marfa, Texas and produced by Welsh singer-songwriter Cate Le Bon, the LP is the band's follow-up to their 2015 LP Fading Frontier, not counting their recent experimental tour-only cassette Double Dream Of Spring.

Flaming Lips: & Deerhunter Lock Horns Backstage
submitted by Nick Sep 24th 2009 07:01 pm (stereogum.com)
Not one to hold his tongue, a new video finds Wayne Coyne backstage calling Bradford Cox (aka "Brad Fox," aka "Benny The Cocks") a dick. It's unfortunate The Colbert Report could...

Atlas Sound: New Atlas Sound - "Kid Climax" (Acoustic At Route Du Rock)
submitted by Nick Aug 24th 2009 09:01 pm (stereogum.com)

Making the most of the trek, La Blog also captured Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox offering up a stripped-down "Kid Climax," a song fr...

Atlas Sound: New Atlas Sound - "Attic Lights"
submitted by Nick Aug 20th 2009 09:01 pm (stereogum.com)
"Walkabout" isn't the best track on Atlas Sound's second proper full-length Logos, but it is the song that features a member of Animal Collective, which is likely why it got out there first. Truth is, it's kind of album's curve ball moment. Even though its more skeletal than some of Logos (see, for instance, the show-stopping "Quick Canal"), the...
