AFI: to release Crash Love in September

AFI have completed work on their eight studio album, Crash Love, with producer Joel McGrath (Alkaline Trio, Morrisey). “After two years of focused writing and recording we’re thrilled to hear it come to life,” says frontman Davey Havok. “Personally, I've never been more proud of an AFI record.”The album will be released on September 28.

Heavens - the group featuring Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba and friend Josiah Steinbrick - have disbanded. "Matt will still be doing the Trio stuff and I heard he might be working on a wonderful solo record," said Steinbrick in an online post. "Heavens is no more. Thanks to everyone who has had nice things to say."
